Industrial Automation Show 2015 Concluded with Great Success

Organized by Deutsche Messe AG and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd., Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show (MWCS) 2015 and Industrial Automation Show (IAS) 2015 came to a successful close on 7 November at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai Hongqiao). As professional theme shows of China International Industry Fair (CIIF), MWCS and IAS followed the trend of Industrial 4.0 and kept the pace with “Made in China 2025” strategy, celebrating a grand slam in exhibition scale and enterprise investment. The 5-day shows attracted 136,000 visits in all.

Various new products debuting on site explicitly interpreted the latest industrial trend, reflecting the shows’ industry vane position to display advanced manufacturing technologies and the excellent platform to lead the developing direction of smart manufacturing.”

As one of the most influential international metalworking exhibitions in Asia-Pacific area, MWCS 2015 was held for the first time at Hall 2 and Hall 3 of National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), which focused on several categories including metal-cutting machine tool, metal forming machine tool and special machine tool, mightily promoting the transformation and upgrading of China’s machine tool industry. MWCS 2015 attracted 469 exhibitors within a display area of 60,000 square meters, presenting an international sparkling show for machine tool, sheet metal and piping processing, smart manufacturing of mold and tools.

TRUMPF and Amada, the leading enterprises in global manufacturing technology field, brought the latest “Industrie 4.0” products and technologies and continued their glorious history in metal forming machine tools with some other famous equipment suppliers, including Prima Power, Savanini, LVD, Mitsubishi, Murata, Hans Laser, Jinfangyuan, Yawei, ACL, etc. Haas, Mazak, SMTCL, Dalian Gona, Qinchuan Machine Tool & Tool (QCMT&T), Hanchuan CNC Machine Tool and Jier Machine-Tool Group participated in the exhibition of metal cutting machine tools to display the on-site presentation of the multi-functional machine tool which integrated the technology of honing, grinding, polishing and superfinishing. The special machine tools gathered some leading enterprises, including Fulu, Waterjet, etc., and displayed the collision and innovation of technology on spot.

IAS is the largest and most influential industrial automation show in Asia, covering four categories including system control, sensor connector, motors and accessories of chassis and cabinet and robotics. IAS 2015 presented a feast of smart manufacturing in which 545 well-known enterprises interpreted the splendid development of industrial automation with brand new features and top technology within a display area of 50,000 square meters.

During the show, Siemens appeared with its latest technology of Industrie 4.0 and stand at the top of the times. Festo, the giant in pneumatic industry brought several products of latest bionics techniques to reveal its innovation power. Bosch Rexroth Group, the drive control industry leader, introduced its latest Industrie 4.0 technical products and experience zone in China for the first time. The wonderful performance definitely attracted all visitors onsite. Furthermore, well-known exhibitors, including Phoenix, Mitsubishi, Honeywell, Omron, Beckhoff, Turck, Rittal, Pepperl + Fuchs (P+F), B&R, Delta, Harting, Weidmuller, Wago, ifm, Balluff, Banner, etc., constituted the deluxe lineup for the show and created the resplendence for IAS 2015 together.

The exhibition of robots has always been a shining point of IAS. This year, it grows more flourishing since the number of exhibitors has doubled and all enterprises have brought their latest technology and the most splendid products to the show. After an interval of several years, Kawasaki returned to the show and grabbed the visitors’ attention with top-notch innovative products. Kuka Robotics remained its powerful strength and strived to appear with a super large booth. Moreover, the world’s top robot manufacturers, including ABB, Fanuc, Yaskawa, Nachi, Hyundai, Stäubli, Epson and YAMAHA, etc. and some renowned domestic robot manufacturing enterprises, such as SIASUN, Estun, Efort, GSK and STEP Electric gathered together with the latest high-end products of industrial robots to interpret more ideal solutions.

During the two shows, the organizers invited around 100 buyer groups to visit and purchase. Some user enterprises engaging in automobile manufacturing, electronic manufacturing, food & beverage, packaging equipment, metal plate, chassis and cabinet, kitchen and bath wares, such as Foxconn, CHNT, Hitachi, Shanghai Guangdian Electric Group (SGEG), Aurora, Rittal, FOTILE Kitchen Ware, etc., attended the show in groups. All official information about the shows was constantly transmitted to the exhibitors, visitors and buyers through various kinds of traditional media and new media.
